It was a great Sunday gathering. Learning a lot. About the different techniques to use for self defense like the shrimp movement. The nose and face grab. The different ways to put the person on the floor. When we are being attacked from the floor, bed etc. I enjoyed working as a group of 3 girls. As two do the techniques and one watch and help the other 2 correct the techniques. As the instructor can't be always watching everything. I especially thought the rape exercise was very helpful for all of us. And so was everything we learned on Sunday. Thank you for coming up to Auckland and teaching us these safety lessons. It is greatly appreciated.

Kia Orana, we had the privilege of doing the self defence class with the amazing Sarah who was so talented and great at explaining and sharing with us how to do things and why. Our team had so much fun learning, practicing and doing it all together. I would recommend this amazing workshop to everyone it’s interactive, fun and so informative. Thank you Sarah!

Tena Koe Sarah, thank you for sharing the importance of how we can respond and protect ourselves if we ever experienced an attack- which wouldn't wish on anyone. I am guessing lots of us would have our favourites. Loved the workshop, thank you!

Our team really enjoys the training it’s practical, straightforward, and effective regardless of strength or size. We train with Sarah every year because we understand the importance of repetition and muscle memory. If we ever need to use the techniques we've learned, we want to be confident and prepared.

Sarah was an excellent instructor. She was well spoken and clear. In all fairness I commend her even more for putting up with our group. What appealed more to me personally was seeing how much energy she could put out – which gave myself the confidence ‘if she can do it I can do it’. The class was fun, I learnt a lot. I also love how she laughed along side our group. Sara didn’t sugar coat situation; she was very direct. The way she also included herself in some of our activities was also great as it added that extra element of surprise for the people she joined in with. Would highly recommend her to any groups and would love for her to come back to teach us more.

My feedback is entirely positive! Sarah is a great facilitator, and she did an exceptional job demonstrating and explaining all the self defence techniques. I learnt a lot of new skills and felt it was a valuable workshop for everyone who attended. Sarah was very friendly, had good humour and made sure that we took the exercises seriously. I would recommend more people to do this workshop for their own self confidence and self-defence development!

I just completed a two day course with Sarah, Carrie and Mandy. They were so welcoming, non judgemental and cater to every ability and confidence levels in the class. What they taught was eye opening, using common real life scenarios that could happen and what you can do to get out of them. They do not sugar coat things either, be prepared to get physical and mentally challenged - this is great for practising for real life scenario. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I will definitely be back! It was a challenging fun two days. Thank you guys!

Friendly, helpful instructors & very patient with questions. Full on day, totally worth doing. I went with my daughter, such great skills to have, I think we will be back. Thank you.

This was one of the most worthwhile workshops I've ever done. The course content was extensive and thorough. It was hands on with practical content from the start. The teachers were amazing, conveyed everything clearly and helped and guided you. I believe every woman should have this knowledge. Technique, not strength. Thank you so very much.

THANK YOU Charlie for our introductory Self Defence class on Wednesday evening, it truly was was excellent, and honestly, potentially life-changing. As part of our OSX Wellness Wednesdays Series, I invited Charlie from MINDSET Self Defence and CQC to run a session for our OSX community. In just 90 minutes, he gave us the tools to think differently about our safety, covering key strategies for defending ourselves in real situations. Charlie explained and demonstrated practical moves to escape an attacker, and through repetition we were able to build confidence in using them. Every guest left feeling empowered, grateful they attended, and already asking when the next class will be! We’ll definitely host a follow-up later this year to reinforce the learning.I wholeheartedly encourage everyone, from corporate teams to friendship groups and families, to organise a class. It’s informative, interactive, fun, and one day it could save your life. Thank you, Charlie, we’ll see you again soon!
